I suppose this present doesn't need any explanations.. The title says it all. Dark violet and baby pink stripes combined with The King.. :D Made these to my father's wife, Kristiina, the biggest Elvis-fan I know..

So.. I started with the project Koi Fish. It is a curtain project, I´m going to do four of these to be my new curtains. Still need to buy more colours to this project, need some red, a hint of yellow and white. Blue I already have but it´s the last colour to be added so I´ll have to wait until I get money for the other colours first.

Pandastar

Made a blanket for a new family member. My sister gave a birth to a son in April so I made a whole package: blanket and baby clothes. The baby blue star fleece I bought from Jättirätti and the panda is ordered from Spoonflower. Didn't think about at all and I just fell in love with a couple of fabrics and ordered quite a lot of them. Paid my dues when I got info from the customs.. I had to pay a bit extra for the fabrics because of that. Next time I order every fabric separately and in smaller pieces.. One thing that I didn't get in to the pictures is a "secret" message on the blanket. To attach the fabrics to each others I sewed all sort of hearts to the blanket as well as the word "Love". The word is upside down on the left hand side when panda side up.

Pieniä palmikoita

Vuoden 2017 viimeinen valmistunut projekti oli nämä palmikkosukat itselleni. Hieman epätyypillinen väri itselleni neulottuna, mutta jotenkin se vain houkutteli. Lanka on Viking Alpaca Storm, puikot 3mm. Mukava lanka neuloa ja vielä mukavammat sukat jalassa, pehmeä ja lämmin. Sukkien valmistuttua ensimmäinen ajatus oli, että tulipa hassun näköiset kantapäät. Jatkoin siis palmikoista ihan perus joustinta kantapäähän. Näyttää sileänä pöydällä kovin korkealta tuo kantapää vaan onneksi istuu jalkaan täydellisesti. Ja jalassa näyttää todella hyvältä. Palmikot ovat siis kahden silmukan palmikoita, ei tarvitse apupuikkoa. Ja toisessa sukassa palmikot on tietysti tehty peilikuvana. Todella mukavat sukat, valmistuivat nopeasti ja ovat jaloissani tätäkin kirjoittaessa.
